The Reinforced Earth Company has been engaged by Structural Systems to design and supply a 48m long haul road overpass arch tunnel with TerraPlus™ head walls to Rio Tinto’s Warramboo Mine.  In addition, RECO have been awarded the design and supply of TerraPlus® abutment walls for a bridge structure.  

The Warramboo Mine is located in the Robe Valley, approximately 50 kilometres from Pannawonica and is part of the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  It will have an initial production output of 20Mtpa which will increase to 25Mtpa.  

RECO have commenced designs for the Warramboo project and supply of the tunnel and abutment walls should be completed by the end of this year.   

This project emphasises RECO’s ability to recognise and understand the mining industry’s unique requirements.  It also demonstrates RECO’s capabilities in providing a broad range of design and manufacturing services for mine infrastructure.
